i think that the main thing is not to lose the enthusiasm when you tired of all athelet stuff.

As I know, growing athletes need 2200 calories a day. The diet depends on your sport and how often you are involved in it. Of course, this will vary if you are a female gymnast or a male weightlifter.

I've read that amino acid and other protein supplements are not recommended for ypung athletes.

They say energy bars and sports drinks contain protein, carbohydrate and some fat that are fine for young athletes. The bars are convenient ways to get quick energy before and during exercise for boys and girls.
