High phosphorus or phosphoric acid, found in meat and soft drinks that teenagers like so much, leaches calcium from bones. Shocked This has a negative effect on bone density and teeth. People who do not get enough natural sunlight will show signs of calcium deficiency as well.

Calcium from milk and milk products is absorbed more easily than that from vegetables for example. Well, grandma knows better!
