I am going to lift weight regularly, but I need some advice. How many repetitions I should be doing to strengthen and add muscle mass to my arms? And how many i should be doing to strengthen and define my leg muscles without adding muscle mass?

Different types of muscular conditioning creates different types of results. Muscular Strength Training can increase muscle. It can also increase mass and/or decrease fat. Muscular Endurance Training maintains an important balance between catabolism and anabolism. Its goal is generally to maintain a certain muscle mass, increase tone and/or decrease fat.

You may try to improve your muscular endurance by slowly, gradually increasing the duration of your current workouts. This may provide you with improved muscle tone, and reduced fat levels.
